The ECN Staffing Process for Job Seekers

We work to make the process easy for anyone who wants to find employment through our staffing agency.

Step One:  Apply

Visit our office in Hazelton, PA to apply in person or complete the above registration form online.

If you’re applying in person, bring two forms of identification, any government-issued I.D., and your social security number. If you’re applying online, be sure to attach the same required documentation.

Step Two:  Interview

Once the application process has been completed, you will be contacted to schedule an interview. You are encouraged to provide supporting documents that detail your educational background, previous job experience, your resumé, qualifications, etc. This will help us to select the appropriate work placement for you.

Step Three:  Notification

We will contact you within a week (approximate) of your interview to inform you of our decision.

Step Four:  Drug Test

If you’re hired, you will schedule a drug-panel test. When the results are returned as negative for tested substances, we’ll contact you with your job assignments and all the details.

Step Five:  Orientation

You will be required to attend an orientation at your workplace prior to the start of your job assignment.

Resumé and Interview Tips

Performing well in an interview is often about knowing what to expect. Here are a few tips to help you prepare:

  • Conduct research so you’re informed about the employer or hiring agency.
  • Review the job description (if available).
  • Review your online presence. Do your social accounts contain appropriate content?
  • Dress in clean, business-casual clothing.
  • Arrive on time—or a few minutes early.
  • Smile, make eye contact, and deliver a firm handshake.
  • Be concise and focused with your answers—don’t ramble.
  • Ask questions that show you’re interested and informed.
  • Convey the reasons why you’re the best candidate.
  • Thank the interviewer for their time.
  • Follow up with an email that expresses gratitude and interest.

And here are some tips when writing your resumé:

  • Customize your resume for each position by highlighting relevant skills and experiences.
  • Use numbers to demonstrate results, like “exceeded production expectations by 15%” or “managed a team of 5 workers.”
  • Start bullet points with strong verbs like “led,” “developed,” or “implemented.”
  • Limit your resumé to one page, if possible, especially for entry-level roles.
  • Place the most relevant experience and skills at the top.
  • Emphasize how your actions benefited your previous employers.
  • Use uniform font styles, bullet points, and spacing for a clean, professional look.
  • Write in the third person. Do not use “I,” “me,” “my,” etc.
  • Include interpersonal abilities like communication and teamwork.
  • Proofread your resumé to make sure it’s free of spelling and grammar errors.
